Types of CasesThere are two basic types of cases:
Criminal Case: When the government charges an individual with violating specific laws, such as those prohibiting robbery. Civil Case: Involves a dispute between two parties. This could incude contracts, property ownership, divorce, child custody, mergers of multinational companies, and personal and property damage. Civil law consists of laws passed by legislatures and the common law. Every case is between a plaintiff and a defendant. |
